A lively and active worshipping community, who promise a warm welcome to everyone.
All-age Worship offers a degree of informality to help the children learn and enjoy their worship, while Morning Prayer is a modern version, often led by a member of our own church family. The remaining Sundays follow the modern form of Eucharist, at which all are invited to either receive Communion or a blessing.
We offer special times for children to learn about Jesus and come to know his love for them.
Sunday School meets in the Village Hall, next to the Church, 10 am on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month, where children enjoy many activities and worship, often taking a “treasure” home with them most weeks! Generally the children need to be over 3, and able to be left with Dot & Colin Cotton, our Sunday School Leaders, and their helpers.
Mums with their babies and toddlers meet informally once a month at the Barnabas Bear Club, in Church 2.15 pm on the second Thursday of each month. There are songs, prayers and story time, followed by refreshments for children and their mums, dads, grannies or carers and a great time for the children to play and the adults to talk!
Jams. (Jesus & me) is a new after school group meeting once a month.
Tofss. (to old for Sunday School) is another new venture for older children meeting twice monthly.
If your need is just for a quiet time of prayer in the church, then on the third Wednesday in the month at 7.45 am (yes, early morning!) we meet for 15 minutes for a time of communing with our Lord. For fellowship throughout the year we organise coffee mornings or an occasional lunch or outing through our “Contact Coffee Club”.
As well as Cell groups there are various social activities
for increasing fellowship and other fun.
We try to offer something for everyone, and you will be assured of a special
place in the family.”
